Sandra DeLeon is the Director of Administrative Operations at SpineNevada, Minimally Invasive Spine Institute in Reno, Nevada. She is a former Director of Operations and Business Development at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and Director of Community Health at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System. Sandra is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Certified Medical Practice Executive.
Sandra has 17 years of healthcare experience and 8 years of Compliance and Ethics experience in the for profit, not for profit and academic settings. She is a graduate of the Trinity University Healthcare Administration Program and completed her Administrative Residency at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Sandra is also a MSW graduate of the Worden School of Social Work at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas.
Jake Hargis is a Northern Nevada native who attended the University of Nevada Reno and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Ecology. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Public Health in Health Administration & Policy, also from the University of Nevada Reno. Since joining the Spine Nevada team in 2017, Jake has been one of the driving forces behind the company's strategic and operational success.
Before becoming the Director of Clinical and Ancillary Operations with SpineNevada, Jake served as a Regional Director of Practice Management and business operations consultant, directly overseeing clinical and business operations, business optimizations, corporate financial analysis and planning, and strategic management and direction of eight specialty physicians' practices while also providing business operation and optimization consulting for multiple other private practice physician groups. Jake provides strong leadership and accountability for the operational excellence of our business through consistent implementation of the tools and processes necessary to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Carlene Slusher is a personable senior level executive with more than 12 years of progressive experience in public and non-profit accounting, critical access hospital finance and accounting, and rural health clinic finance and accounting. Her strengths include financial operations, oversight of accounting, budget, and financial analysis and reporting, revenue cycle management, financing activities, team development, and accounts receivable management.
Prior to joining SpineNevada, Carlene served as the Chief Financial Officer for Seneca Healthcare District in Chester, California. She was responsible for oversight of revenue cycle activities, billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, purchasing, admitting, and the health information management (HIM) department. Carlene was as well responsible for preparation of annual budgets, and operational and capital financial planning and participated in strategic planning as part of the District’s Senior Leadership Team.
Aimé Landaburu is our Director of Business Development who works with internal and external providers, local employers, payors and community partners to grow and nurture our relationships. Her focus is providing the best experience for our mutual patients.
Prior to joining Spine Nevada, Aimé built a career in technology and medical sales. Most recently with McKesson Medical Surgical, leading their regional sales efforts, providing products and business solutions for a variety of specialties. Prior to McKesson Aimé held management positions at Apple and Verizon.
She understands what it takes to create stellar patient experiences and leads the practice in driving new market opportunities.
Aimé serves on the Board of Directors of the JDRF Northern Nevada Chapter. JDRF is focused on accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat type 1 diabetes (T1D) and its complications.
Aimé holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Nevada Reno.
Rachel Lee joined SpineNevada in 2013 and she has over 10 years’ experience in the medical field. During her time at SpineNevada, Rachel has assisted in opening the Radiology department and the new offices in Reno, Sparks and Carson City. She currently is the Human Resources Coordinator for all locations.
Prior to working for SpineNevada, Rachel worked in Skilled Nursing as an Admissions Coordinator where she determined patient eligibility for Skilled Nursing and Therapy Services. Duties also included marketing physicians and health professionals in the Reno and Sparks area.
Rachel has earned the SHRM-CP national certification for Human Resources professionals and has also completed certification in Human Resources Management from the University of Nevada, Reno.
Catalina Rocha joined the team in the centralized call center over 8 years ago. Prior to joining SpineNevada, she was a receptionist at Saint Mary’s Radiation Oncology and a CNA at Saint Mary’s Regional Hospital. Catalina brings a friendly voice along with kindness and empathy to SpineNevada’s patients.
Sarah Hallauer has worked for SpineNevada since July 2015. She has been instrumental member of the Radiology Department from the beginning. Prior to joining Spine Nevada, she worked for Saint Mary’s and Active Sports Medicine as a Radiologic Technologist. Sarah earned her degree from TMCC. "Coming to work for SpineNevada has been one of my best professional decisions and I enjoy having a job that I look forward to coming to everyday!"
