The neurological surgeons at Spine Nevada have all completed fellowship-training in spine. Fellowship training is the highest level of medical education in the U.S. Dr. James Lynch, Dr. Edward Perry and Dr. Shane Abdunnur are innovators in the field of spine and are involved in on-going training in new technologies and minimally invasive surgical techniques for patient benefit.
Dr. James Lynch is a board-certified spinal neurosurgeon with 25 years of experience, who specializes in complex spine surgery, cervical disorders, degenerative spine, spinal deformities, trauma, tumor infection and minimally invasive spine surgery. He is also proficient in endoscopic spine surgery techniques. Dr. Lynch regularly lectures at national meetings on outpatient spine surgery and minimally invasive spine surgery. He also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor in the School of Medicine at University of Nevada, Reno.
Dr. Lynch is the founder of SpineNevada and serves as Chairman / CEO. SpineNevada is a division of IXE Healthcare Group.
Dr. Edward Perry is a board-certified spinal neurosurgeon, he joined the SpineNevada team after completing fellowship training in Complex Spine at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville in the Department of Neurosurgery. Dr. Perry specializes in all aspects of spine surgery, including adult degenerative conditions, congenital deformities, spine trauma, spine tumors and deformity correction, including anterior, lateral and posterior spinal approaches. In addition, he has experience and interest in peripheral nerve disorders, head trauma, and brain tumors.
Dr. Perry serves as Chief of Neurosurgery at Renown Regional Medical Center and Assistant Clinical Professor in the School of Medicine at University of Nevada, Reno.
Dr. Shane Abdunnur is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon with specialty training in spine.
He specializes in all aspects of spine surgery, including adult degenerative conditions, spinal cord injury, spine tumors and deformity correction. He also has training and experience in peripheral nerve disorders. He works with the non-surgical providers at SpineNevada to ensure conservative treatments are exhausted in advance of spine surgery.
Dr. Abdunnur serves as Chief of Neurosurgery at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
